Bamfield Wreck Trek

Barkley Sound is the current UASBC project area. The goal is to visit several wreck sites depending on weather conditions. The Mascotte was a salvage vessel that caught fire and burnt in Pachena Bay in 1895. If conditions permit, we hope to visit the freighter Tuscan Prince lost during a storm in 1923. The Vanlene loaded with Dodge Colt cars is always a group favorite.

If time permits, we will explore the remnants of the Effingham Mystery Wreck.We will stay at a house on Grappler Inlet and dive with Ocean Emerald Charters.

We will travel to Bamfield on Friday afternoon April 10th.

Charter and accommodation estimate is $500, air and meals will be on top of that.

Maximum 10 divers. Some surge conditions can be expected on these dives so bring gravol.
