Port Alberni - Immigrant Ship Rusty

We will travel to Port Alberni to do a dive in Underwood Cove on the artificial reef, Rusty.

The Rusty was one of 4 Chinese vessels apprehended off the BC coast with illegal Immigrants in 1999. The Port Alberni Reef Society acquired the 4 vessels with plans to sink them as artificial reefs.

Rusty was scuttled in Underwood Cove on June 10, 2001. This is a shore dive. Everyone is welcome. Contact Leila B: treasury@uasbc.com
