When marine geologist Dr. John Harper stumbles upon a coastal phenomenon in the form of mysterious curving rock walls along the low tide line of hundreds of beaches in British Columbia, he begins a quest that takes years to resolve what may be the most important archaeological discovery of its kind on North America's West Coast.. It brings him far outside his scientific community, but with the help of a timely meeting with a local beachcomber, Dr. Harper connects with the deep oral traditions of the West Coast's First Peoples, learning the answer to this mystery.
