The UASBC is pleased to officially announce the launch of our new website - www.UASBC.com! Many of you may have noticed the new site live over the past week while we've been working the bugs out. All of you should have received an email with your new login information over the past two days. If you follow the instructions in the welcome email, it will prompt you to enter a new password for your account. Which leads me to the exciting new features of our website:
(1) The Members Area. You will all have access to our new members area. This is a place for you to view/sign-up for all upcoming UASBC projects, courses and events. It is also a place to share your trip reports, photos, and video with each other! We encourage everyone to dive right in and start posting content to this area, we'd all love to see your latest photos/video or hear about your latest adventure. This area is password protected so only other members will view what you post.
(2) The UASBC Shop. The new UASBC Shop will not only include all of the publications that you are used to reading from the UASBC, but also a new line of UASBC Apparel - t-shirts, ball caps, and toques. We encourage you to check out the new UASBC Shop and show your continued support with a new UASBC t-shirt! :-)
(3) Membership Management. This is more a behind the scenes aspect of the site. The UASBC has moved to a more streamlined way of storing/using members information that links the Members Area, with the UASBC Shop, and UASBC Communications. The main thing that you need to know is your membership renewal notices will now be automated and the renewals will run through the UASBC Shop. You can still renew your membership the old fashioned way by email (UASBC [at] UASBC [dot] com) or by speaking with your local chapter director.
Welcome to the new UASBC! Please check out the Exploration, Education, and Events areas of the website. We have some really great things happening in the next few weeks/months and we'd love to see you out near the water!
Safe Adventure,
Chris Fenton
UASBC Communications Director
