Topic: Coronado, Belcarra, and Cowichan – Deep water wrecks near Vancouver
Description: The Coronado (1906), Belcarra (1910) and the Cowichan (1925) are 3 of the Vancouver area’s undiscovered wrecks but lie below recreational and tech diver limits. A brief side scan view of the Cowichan and ROV video of the Coronado by the UASBC in 1997 shows that these 2 wrecks are intact and covered in marine life. Tom will describe the 3 wrecks, past searches and the wrecks’ potential archaeological and scientific resources.
